As part of this process I’ve maintained a order list for all the videos…. in the process of adding my newest videos I noticed that I’ve uploaded 40 videos. All totaling 498 MB on local disk.

Cost Cutting: Palm

All through time companys cut costs to make bigger profits… but cost cutting can hurt the consumer as well.

For the fun of it I decided to convert canyon.mid (old Windows 3.1 file) into a palm alarm sound and I discovered that the Palm Z22 had a piezo buzzer.

I took it farther and tried the same sound on my PalmOne Zire 31 and found that it was so much better.

Anyway here is the comparison of the sound output on both devices.

YouTube Quality Chart

I have done more looking into YouTubes HD setup and it seems they store the video at FULL res of the upload for HD even tho the player applet is limited on size.

I made this size comparison chart using a 1280×800 test upload.

Youtube HD – My First Test

A while back YouTube launched HD support… but I havent had a chance to try it yet. Well I decided to give it a shot in the processing of testing another laptop. I used a Fraps captured clip from the game Bully: Scholarship Edition captured and uploaded at 1280 x 800.

Here is the test video

As a bonus here is my current play in the game ;)
