Steam for Mac is OUT!!!

The mac version of Steam is finally out today months after it was first announced.

Portal is the first Valve game to be released as a free download until May 24th and a new set of games will be released on subsequent Wednesdays.

The first games will also enable users to get a glimpse of “Steam Play” which will let them buy a game once and play it on both platforms supported by Steam.

The only noticeable difference between the mac and the Windows client is the position of the window controls. Everything else is pretty much the same for both platform clients.

Review: Sim City for iPhone (and iPod Touch)

Catagory: Games
Released: Dec 15, 2008
Seller: Electronic Arts
Version: 1.1.0
Price: $7.99

I have been a long time Sim City fan dating back many years.. when I had a chance to get the iPhone version for my iPod Touch. Overall the interface is easy to use and its quite impressive. As to be expecected the game is tough as usual. It does have the odd qwerk of crashing on the odd occasion even if you do the device reboot that they recommend.

The touch controls are nice… they transisioned over from the desktop versions quite nicely. There is even cheats input box if you shake the device :)

All in all this game is worth it for any Sim City fan… but beware due to its addicting nature it will hurt your battery life.

Review: Bejeweled 2 for iPod Touch (and iPhone)

Catagory: Games
Released: Aug 9, 2008
Seller: PopCap Games,Inc (iDP)
Version: 1.0.1
Price: $2.99

I’ve always had a version of Bejeweled installed on most of my mobile devices for the longest time…. My Palm m125,PalmOne Zire 31,Palm Z22 and most recently my iPod Touch. I was recently gifted a iTunes card and I chose to buy afew apps for my iPod Touch… This was one of them :)

This is gonna be short and to the point…. This game is amazing!!!!!. The graphics are a major step up compared to the Palm versions, the sound is way better, controls are far easier. Also as a bonus you can play with your own music in the background instead of game music, also it supports both landscape and portrait mode on all screens (not counting loading screen).

I told ya this would be short review :)
