Safari For Windows: Beta Bashing

Many of you have seen/used the new Safari for windows but have treated it like a final product… it is a work in progress that will get better over time. If you installed Apple Software Update you will be receiving updates that will be fixing the crashing, security, and other issues that may and will creep up during the public beta test but let me define beta:

The alpha version of a product still awaits full testing of all its functionality but satisfies all the software requirements. As the first major stage in the release lifecycle, it is named after alpha, the first letter in the Greek alphabet.

Testing for “Correctness,Completeness, and Security”

What apple wants is YOU the users to report bugs to them and help make Safari for windows better.

Right-ee-o, as Felix the Cat used to say. I am using Safari right now, and, while I don’t think it will supplant Opera, as my browser of choice anytime soon…it just LOOKS so cool. It is typical Apple, the metrics are just RIGHT. Now I know this can be done in Windows, with almost all the other browsers, but this is right, from the start. It looks good, it works ok, and as far as I can tell, renders things correctly. [Side by side comparisons with Opera on same machine, on at least 10 complex sites so far]
